Counselling & Therapy

You’ve navigated a lot. But something still doesn’t feel resolved.

Maybe you’ve moved countries more times than you can count and you’re not sure where home is anymore. Maybe a significant life change — a relationship ending, children leaving, a career shift, the slow arrival of midlife — has left you questioning who you are outside of the roles you’ve played. Maybe you’re an international educator who has given everything to your work and your community, and you’ve quietly run out of something essential.

Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to keep navigating it alone.

Individual Counselling & Therapy

I offer open-ended, one-to-one counselling for adults aged 16 and over, online and in-person. Sessions are 50 minutes and typically take place weekly, though we’ll find a rhythm that works for you.

My approach is humanistic and person-centred, which means our work begins with you — your experience, your pace, your goals. I won’t tell you what to think or how to feel. I’ll offer a steady, non-judgmental space in which you can begin to hear yourself more clearly.

Mindfulness runs through the way I work — not as a homework assignment, but as an orientation toward presence and self-compassion that we can draw on when it’s useful.

Areas I work with:

  • Expat identity and cross-cultural adjustment
  • Third culture kid (TCK) experience in adulthood
  • Life transitions — relocation, empty nesting, midlife
  • Relationship transitions — separation, divorce, re-partnering
  • Burnout, particularly among internationally mobile professionals and educators
  • Loss of identity or sense of self
  • Anxiety and overwhelm connected to change

A note on international educators

Having spent years working within international schools across three continents, I have particular understanding of the unique pressures facing teachers and staff in internationally mobile roles — where professional identity, community, and personal life are so deeply intertwined. I offer reduced rates for international school educators. Please get in touch to find out more.

Fees

I offer a free initial telephone consultation — usually around 20 minutes — so we can get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit. There’s no obligation to proceed.

I am not currently accepting insurance referrals, but I am happy to provide an invoice for out-of-network reimbursement claims.

For fee information, please get in touch directly.
